Description:
The Data Engineer (The Data Pipeline Architect) will design, develop, and optimize data systems that support advanced analytics and machine learning.
Responsibilities include constructing efficient, scalable data pipelines and ensuring data accessibility for analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
The role involves working with large datasets, implementing ETL processes, and building infrastructure for analytics and AI-driven insights.
Key responsibilities include designing and developing data pipelines, managing data warehouses or data lakes, collaborating with data scientists and analysts, ensuring data quality and governance, optimizing performance, automating workflows, and implementing data security and compliance measures.
Requirements:
Candidates must have strong experience in building and maintaining data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses using cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Proficiency in programming languages like Python, SQL, or Scala, and experience with data engineering tools such as Apache Spark, Airflow, or Kafka is required.
Expertise in managing and optimizing data warehouses or data lakes, with a solid understanding of partitioning, indexing, and storage optimization techniques is essential.
Strong knowledge of database design and query optimization for performance, with the ability to fine-tune SQL queries is necessary.
A solid understanding of data governance practices, security protocols, and compliance regulations is required.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required, with equivalent experience in data engineering also valued.
Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with hands-on experience in building and managing data pipelines and cloud-based storage solutions.
Familiarity with data quality, data governance, and data security best practices is highly desirable.
