Description:
The Data Engineer (The Data Pipeline Architect) will design, develop, and optimize data systems that support advanced analytics and machine learning.
Responsibilities include constructing efficient, scalable data pipelines and ensuring data accessibility for analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
The role involves working with large datasets, implementing ETL processes, and building infrastructure for analytics and AI-driven insights.
Key responsibilities include designing and developing data pipelines, managing data warehouses or data lakes, collaborating with data scientists and analysts, ensuring data quality and governance, optimizing performance, automating workflows, and implementing data security and compliance measures.
Requirements:
Strong experience in data engineering, specifically in building and maintaining data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses using cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Proficiency in programming languages like Python, SQL, or Scala, and experience with data engineering tools such as Apache Spark, Airflow, or Kafka.
Expertise in managing and optimizing data warehouses or data lakes, with a solid understanding of partitioning, indexing, and storage optimization techniques.
Strong knowledge of database design and query optimization, with the ability to fine-tune SQL queries for performance.
Solid understanding of data governance practices, security protocols, and compliance regulations, with the ability to enforce data privacy measures.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience in data engineering.
3+ years of experience in data engineering, with hands-on experience in building and managing data pipelines and cloud-based storage solutions.
Familiarity with data quality, data governance, and data security best practices is highly desirable.
