Description:
Reality Defender is seeking a Data Engineer (Video Data) to enhance video ingestion, processing, and augmentation workflows for deepfake detection models.
The role involves building scalable, high-performance workflows for acquiring, storing, and transforming large-scale video datasets.
The candidate will collaborate with machine learning engineers and researchers to optimize data workflows, ensuring high-quality input for AI-driven fraud detection and disinformation mitigation.
Key responsibilities include building scalable pipelines for batch and streaming video data, optimizing video storage and retrieval workflows, expanding video dataset coverage through various methods, and supporting benchmarking efforts.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field is required.
Candidates must have 3-6+ years of experience in data engineering or a developer role focused on video data.
Strong software development experience in Python or a systems programming language is necessary, along with experience using video processing libraries such as libav or OpenCV.
Experience with video dataset augmentation and processing is essential.
Candidates should have experience building systems on cloud infrastructure and familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
