Remote Data Engineer (Web Scraping)

Description:

• We are currently looking to hire a Data Engineer to work with us remotely.
• The role involves maintaining and managing website scraping configurations using Python.
• You will monitor scraping configurations for errors and potential crashes.
• The position requires overseeing retrieved data to detect potential issues and blockages.
• You will coordinate with stakeholders to understand scraping task requirements and report issues.
• The role includes preparing and sharing periodic reports on scraping activities with stakeholders.
• You will develop necessary pipelines to ingest data into the Datalake and perform required transformations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in data engineering with expertise in designing and implementing scalable data architectures is required.
• Strong experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing (Airflow & DBT preferred) is necessary.
• Expertise in database technologies, both relational (SQL) and NoSQL, is essential.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Azure, is required.
• A solid understanding of data security measures and compliance standards is necessary.
• Excellent Python experience for data engineering and automation is required.
• Strong collaboration skills to work closely with data scientists and analysts are essential.
• The ability to optimize data pipelines for performance and efficiency is necessary.
• You must be able to build, test, and maintain tasks and projects.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git, is required.
• Hands-on experience with Airflow and/or DBT is necessary.
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure management is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is necessary.
• A strong academic background in a relevant field is required.
• Fluency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of French is a plus.
