Remote Data Engineering Lead

• This role is critical for leveraging data to drive smarter underwriting decisions, optimize business operations, and scale data infrastructure for long-term success.
• As the founding member of the data team, the Data Lead will define data strategy and implement best practices for data management, analytics, and engineering.
• Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining a robust data infrastructure, ensuring data accuracy and security, defining underwriting performance metrics, running experiments to optimize processes, and communicating data insights to stakeholders.
• The Data Lead will also mentor new hires and foster a culture of collaboration and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements:

• Candidates should have experience in a Data Lead, Senior Data Engineer, or Senior Data Scientist role.
• Previous experience in startups and fintechs is required.
• Hands-on experience with setting up and scaling data infrastructure is essential.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern data tools such as DBT, Snowflake, Fivetran, Hightouch, and other ETL/reverse ETL tools is necessary.
• Strong data engineering skills, including data pipeline creation and maintenance, are required.
