Remote Data Engineering Lead

Description:

• The Data Engineering Lead position at Zoomo involves designing, building, and maintaining data infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to ensure high performance and availability as the company scales.
• Responsibilities include developing end-to-end data pipelines, optimizing GCP infrastructure, delivering reports and dashboards, monitoring data quality, collaborating with stakeholders, providing technical leadership, and managing a team of data engineers.
• The role requires collaboration with various teams across the organization and a hands-on approach to engineering with a focus on data management and analysis.

Requirements:

• Advanced SQL skills, preferably in BigQuery and PostgreSQL, with experience in building data lake and data warehouse ETL pipelines.
• Proficiency in GCP tools such as BigQuery, PubSub, Cloud Functions, Dataflow, Composer, Firestore, and IAM configuration.
• Experience with REST APIs, Python coding, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), batch and streaming data processing, and visualization tools like Looker or Tableau.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and working with technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive projects to completion.
