Description:
This is a remote permanent position for those based in India.
The role is for an experienced technical team leader with a focus on Data Engineering.
The candidate will translate client project requirements into deliverables and lead the team collaboration to ensure high-quality output within specific timeframes.
The position involves working on a variety of projects with Nearform’s clients, helping them translate their business and technical requirements into software applications.
The candidate will provide technical and line-management leadership to the development team and take responsibility for successful project delivery.
Responsibilities include identifying and resolving blockers, working directly with clients, shaping architectural decisions, and providing project status reports to clients and Nearform leadership.
The role requires a hands-on approach with a background in Data Engineering, including skills in Python, SQL, and Databricks, as well as knowledge in DevOps, cloud architecture, and systems integration.
Requirements:
The candidate must have experience working directly with customers and users.
Experience managing software engineering teams is required.
A proven track record in developing high-quality software is essential.
The candidate should have a deep understanding of agile methodologies and test-driven development.
Knowledge of best practices and design patterns is necessary.
Familiarity with open-source technologies and tools is required.
Proficiency in version control tools, particularly GIT, is essential.
Understanding of cloud technologies and operational concerns such as monitoring, performance testing, security, accessibility, and GDPR is needed.
Knowledge of DevOps practices is important.
The candidate should have a strong drive to deliver outcomes for customers and possess empathy and people skills.
