As a tech lead, you will be responsible for managing your team members and driving technical direction in projects.
You will ensure that projects meet scalability and robustness requirements while being hands-on with code and project architecture.
Your responsibilities include week-to-week planning of your team and keeping each member accountable.
You will conceptualize and generate infrastructure that allows big data to be accessed and analyzed.
Reformulating existing frameworks to optimize their functioning will be part of your role.
You will test structures to ensure they are fit for use and prepare raw data for manipulation by Data Scientists.
Ensuring that your work remains backed up and readily accessible to relevant coworkers is essential.
You will stay up-to-date with industry standards and technological advancements to improve the quality of your outputs.
Requirements:
You must have experience leading remote development teams.
A Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Big Data Analytics, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Software Developer, or in a similar role is necessary.
Expert proficiency in Python, C++, Java, R, and SQL is required.
Familiarity with Hadoop or a suitable equivalent is essential.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are a must.
You should have the capacity to successfully manage a pipeline of duties with minimal supervision.
Proficiency with monitoring tools like NewRelic, Datadog, Grafana/Prometheus, and distributed logs (e.g., ELK) is required.
