Description:

• HealthCenta is a healthcare management system for medical insurers and providers in Africa, focusing on data, pricing transparency, and cost predictability.
• The Data-Focused Backend Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining systems that process, categorize, and analyze large datasets related to healthcare services.
• The role involves working with Python (FastAPI), React, EKL, Redis, PostgreSQL, and AWS to deliver precise insights to clients.
• Responsibilities include designing backend services, data integration, optimization, collaboration with teams, machine learning implementation, database management, security implementation, cloud deployment, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly with data-driven applications.
• Proficiency in Python (FastAPI) and experience with React.
• Strong expertise in databases (PostgreSQL, Redis), data processing frameworks, and developing data pipelines.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with AWS for cloud-based deployments and services.
• Proficiency with Git or similar version control systems.
• Excellent analytical and complex problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
