Description:

  • Develop and implement data governance strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and maintain a data governance framework encompassing data classification, data ownership, data stewardship, and data quality management.
  • Utilize Alation to create and manage a comprehensive data catalog, ensuring accurate and up-to-date metadata for all data assets.
  • Leverage Qualytics to monitor and analyze data quality, identifying and resolving data issues to promote data accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with data stewards and data owners to define data quality standards, ownership models, and access controls.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on data governance concepts, policies, and tools to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Define methods for measuring and monitoring data quality and policy adherence.
  • Enable client teams on best practices for documenting data sets, data lineage, business glossaries, data dictionaries, and other key areas of data management maturity.
  • Work with other business stewards to ensure data rules and standards are being implemented and followed.
  • Stay current on emerging data governance trends and technologies.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in any of Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data lineage, Data infrastructure, Business Intelligence, Data Quality, or Master Data Management.
  • Proven experience with data governance methodologies and frameworks.
  • Experience developing data glossary and definitions across a large enterprise.
  • Proficient with data governance and quality tools like Alation and Microsoft Purview.
  • Exposure and Experience in Databricks Unity Catalog is a plus.
  • Exposure to MDM solutions like Reltio is a plus.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, Scala, or other programming languages commonly used in data engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience working with ticket-based systems such as JIRA.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of data lifecycle management.
  • Domain knowledge on Real Estate would be an added advantage.
