Remote Data Governance Lead

Description:

• You will develop control structures to ensure data accuracy and quality across all upstream and downstream data channels.
• You will provide thought leadership and participate in projects involving data flows and processes, both upstream and downstream.
• You will ensure data integrity by performing gap analysis and coordinating resolutions with business owners and IT teams.
• You will work with business stakeholders to gather and understand functional requirements, develop complex queries, and generate reports.
• You will support the implementation of an enterprise data governance program, contributing to policy and standard enforcement.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• A strong understanding of data management principles, data quality frameworks, and metadata management is necessary.
• Familiarity with database management systems such as SQL, Oracle, and MySQL is essential.
• Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools is required.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, as well as data security standards, is important.
• Proficiency with data governance tools like Informatica and Alation is a plus.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
• You must have excellent written and verbal English for clear and effective communication with the team.
• At least 5+ years of experience working in data quality, data governance, or similar data analysis roles is required.
