Description:
Attentive is seeking a self-motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join their Data Infrastructure team.
The role involves taking ownership of foundational components powering data storage and streaming services to ensure resilience, scalability, manageability, and high availability.
The engineer will work closely with microservices architecture teams to ensure data integrity and availability.
Responsibilities include designing, deploying, and maintaining reliable, secure, scalable, and extensible big data systems.
The engineer will develop strategies, automation, and solutions for production data services, fostering a culture of quality and facilitating developer velocity.
The role requires familiarity with DevOps methodologies, peer design, code reviews, and knowledge sharing sessions.

Requirements:
3+ years of experience as a Data Infrastructure Engineer, Platform Engineer, SRE, DevOps, or Backend Engineer with a data storage focus.
Experience managing data platform technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, OpenSearch, Kafka, Druid, Trino, OpenMetadata, and Redis.
Proficiency in cloud infrastructure best practices at scale with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Datadog.
Ability to solve complex technical problems, analyze trade-offs, and collaborate with developer peers.
Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery strategies in a cloud environment, monitoring, and logging tools.

For US-based applicants, the salary range is $130,000 - $195,000 annually plus equity and benefits.
