Artera is an AI startup focused on developing medical artificial intelligence tests to personalize therapy for cancer patients.

Data management is central to Artera's operations, involving the ingestion and indexing of large datasets, creation of massive datasets for AI model training, and efficient running of AI models for cancer therapy guidance.
As a Data Infrastructure Engineer, you will collaborate with Platform Engineers to enhance developer experience, security, and productivity through self-service capabilities and automated infrastructure operations.
You will work closely with scientists and developers to design, build, and maintain data stores (S3, EFS, Box) and databases that support Artera's products and services.
The role involves setting the vision for Data Infrastructure Engineering and driving software development projects from start to finish.
You will develop and manage data pipelines to facilitate data access and self-service for machine learning and biostatistics teams.
The position requires building core infrastructure, tooling, and software development processes using Python.
You will contribute to various platform engineering projects, ranging from one-off solutions to long-term systems.

Requirements:

You must demonstrate integrity and consideration for data governance when handling sensitive confidential data.
Prior experience managing AWS relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL is required.
Experience with managing S3 buckets, lifecycle, policies, and IAM permissions at scale is necessary.
A proven track record of migrating and building infrastructure automation solutions using Infrastructure-As-Code in Terraform is essential.
Some experience with CI/CD, Containers, and Kubernetes is required, with bonus points for expertise in AWS ECS.
You should have 1 to 3 years of experience working in data infrastructure areas.
You must be a self-starter who proactively identifies areas for improvement and implements enhancements independently.
An interest in building systems with strong monitoring and observability capabilities is important.
You should work well in a team environment and value collaboration.
Adaptability and preparedness for changing circumstances are essential traits.
A commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement is expected.
Excellent communication skills are required.

The salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $180,000 per year, with compensation being competitive and based on experience and qualifications.
