Description:
The Data Lead will be responsible for building the data team from the ground up by hiring exceptional people and creating a powerhouse framework and culture to drive business decisions.
This role involves mentoring and managing team members while fostering a culture that enhances productivity, efficiency, and wellbeing.
The Data Lead will collaborate with the business and product teams to address tactical questions through the experiments platform, influencing the development of product features.
The position requires understanding when speed is more critical than accuracy in analytical results to facilitate business decision-making.
The Data Lead will enable key stakeholders to enhance their understanding and analytical capabilities.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative subject such as finance, financial mathematics, computer science, mathematics, physics, bio-informatics, or engineering.
A minimum of 3-5 years of analytics experience in a tech company, preferably in a startup environment, is required.
Experience working with large and sometimes messy data is essential.
The candidate should have experience managing at least two data analysts and preferably have experience in hiring and building a data team from the ground up.
Strong skills in data manipulation and inferential statistics using Python and SQL are necessary.
The candidate must be comfortable working with open-ended questions and potentially ambiguous problem statements.
Experience in collaborating with individuals outside of one's domain to deliver impactful results is required.
