Description:

• OCT Consulting, LLC is seeking a Data Modeler/Data Architect to work with their federal client, focusing on various data-related tasks.
• Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing data requirements, mapping and integrating data, developing conceptual and logical data models, and ensuring data security and privacy.
• The role involves standardizing and normalizing data, implementing data quality assurance measures, establishing data governance frameworks, and promoting collaboration and communication within the team.
• Continuous improvement is a key aspect of the position, with a focus on enhancing data models, optimizing data management processes, and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of experience as a Data Modeler/Data Architect.
• Proficiency in working on the Azure platform and data modeling languages is required.
• Familiarity with data infrastructure best practices, data governance principles, data quality management, and metadata management is essential.
• Previous experience in the federal government context, especially with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), is advantageous.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary, along with knowledge of MS Project, JIRA, and other MS Office tools.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
• Candidates must be able to obtain or retain a Public Trust clearance and must be US Citizens.

Benefits:

• The salary range for this position is $150,000-165,000 per year based on education and experience.
