Description:
The Data Modeler/Data Architect position at OCT Consulting, LLC involves working with federal clients to gather and analyze data requirements, develop data models, ensure data integration, and implement data security measures.
Responsibilities include conducting stakeholder meetings, mapping data sources, designing conceptual and logical data models, translating logical models into physical models, standardizing and normalizing data, ensuring data security and privacy, implementing data quality assurance measures, establishing data governance frameworks, and promoting collaboration and communication.
The role also includes continuous improvement efforts by suggesting process enhancements, collecting feedback, and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of experience as a Data Modeler/Data Architect.
Proficiency in working on the Azure platform and data modeling languages is required.
Familiarity with data infrastructure best practices, data governance principles, data quality management, and metadata management is essential.
Previous experience in the federal government context, especially with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), is advantageous.
Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary.
Knowledge of MS Project, JIRA, and other MS Office tools is a must.
Ability to organize resources from diverse backgrounds and skills is important.
A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required.
Must be able to obtain or retain a Public Trust clearance and be a US Citizen.
Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $150,000-165,000 per year based on education and experience.
