Description:

  • Modernizing Medicine is seeking a Data Operations Engineer to help revolutionize Healthcare IT.
  • The role involves building and maintaining infrastructure that empowers customers, analysts, and data scientists to drive insights.
  • Responsibilities include automating, deploying, and operating data pipelines, as well as managing data in Spark and other environments.
  • The engineer will implement monitoring facilities for the data pipeline and support the data usage needs of downstream analytics teams.
  • The position requires participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation for critical issues.

Requirements:

  • A BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Candidates must have experience managing data in relational databases and developing ETL pipelines.
  • Proficiency in Spark SQL or other Big Data tools is necessary.
  • Experience with logging, telemetry, and monitoring tools like ops view is required.
  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud services is essential.
  • Candidates should have experience in scripting for automation and configuration management using tools like Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
  • Knowledge of orchestration software such as Airflow or Luigi is needed.
  • Fluency in at least one scripting or systems programming language (e.g., Python, Ruby, Bash) is required.
  • A deep understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems is necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality, architecture, and documentation are essential.
  • Experience with the Qlik Sense product in a large-scale enterprise environment is a plus, as is experience with Tableau and Domo.
