Description:

Nexera, part of Valsoft Corporation, is seeking a Data Operations Engineer to join its R&D team in a remote capacity.
The role involves designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, storage solutions, and infrastructure for efficient data processing, analytics, and integrations.
The Data Operations Engineer will focus on ETL/ELT workflows and data processing systems to ensure clean, structured, and accessible data for analytics, reporting, and product features.
Responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing legacy systems, developing new systems, products, and features, and ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of the data infrastructure.
The engineer will handle day-to-day data issues, bugs, inquiries, and projects as needed by the analyst team and customers.

Requirements:

Candidates must have strong experience and enthusiasm for database design, data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing.
Experience in data pipeline development and ETL/ELT processes is required.
Proficiency in MySQL and PostgreSQL is essential; experience with MS SQL is a plus.
Candidates should have experience with or a willingness to master Perl.
A self-driven and motivated attitude with a desire to learn new skills is necessary.
Candidates should enjoy optimizing complex queries for performance gains.
Interest in AI and its application to real-world use cases through data is preferred.
Experience with Linux system administration and full stack web development (PHP, React, etc.) is a plus.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
