Description:

  • CMOstores.com ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Data Platform Engineer.
  • The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining the data platform architecture.
  • The engineer will ensure efficient and secure data management across the organization.
  • Responsibilities include managing and optimizing various database systems, focusing on SQL and MySQL.
  • The engineer will implement and maintain cloud-based data solutions, primarily using Microsoft Azure.
  • Development, optimization, and management of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) are required.
  • The role includes implementing data integrity checks and security measures across all data systems.
  • Integration of various data sources, including financial systems such as Sage, to create a unified data ecosystem is essential.
  • Regular database administration tasks, including backup and recovery, performance tuning, and user access management, will be performed.
  • The engineer will collaborate closely with the Business Intelligence team for efficient data delivery for reporting and analytics.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining APIs for data ingestion and distribution is part of the job.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
  • Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of database systems, particularly SQL and MySQL, is essential.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure, is required.
  • Experience with ETL tools and processes, particularly SSIS, is necessary.
  • Proficiency in API development and management is required.
  • Familiarity with financial data systems (e.g., Sage) is a plus.
  • A strong understanding of data security and compliance requirements is essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are required.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary.
