Description:
IT Labs is seeking a Data Platform Engineer who understands the dynamic nature of today's data ecosystems and their connection to business agility and compliance.
The role involves building trust in data through automation, optimization, and secure engineering practices.
A Data Platform Engineer will design, build, and maintain efficient ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading into Snowflake.
The engineer will develop and optimize Python scripts to automate complex data workflows and implement secure, scalable deployments across AWS and Azure.
Responsibilities include managing cross-cloud data replication, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and internal governance policies, and optimizing data models for BI tools like Tableau.
The position requires setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, creating detailed documentation, and monitoring data pipeline performance.
Collaboration with business stakeholders is essential to align data platform strategies with organizational needs.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or platform-focused roles is required.
Strong expertise in Snowflake, Python, and cloud-native data services in AWS and Azure is essential.
Proficiency in building and optimizing ETL/ELT processes across cloud environments is necessary.
Hands-on experience with data migration techniques between AWS and Azure is required.
Candidates must be proficient in setting up CI/CD pipelines for data workflows and automating deployment processes.
A deep understanding of data security practices, including data masking, encryption, and access control management, is needed.
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements and experience applying them to cloud data solutions is essential.
Familiarity with data governance frameworks, metadata management, and audit logging is required.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and the ability to design resilient, observable, and scalable data systems in a cloud-driven environment is necessary.
