Description:

The position is for a Data Platform Engineer on a 6+ months contract to hire basis.
The job is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in work location.
The role requires 8-10 years of experience with IBM i server administration and the DB2 for i platform (DB2/400).
Candidates must have at least 5 years of hands-on experience as a database administrator (DBA) with DB2 for i.
A minimum of 3 years of experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) and OLTP/OLAP concepts is required.
Proficiency in IBM i navigation is essential, including skills in ACS, Schemas, Run SQL, plan cache, stored procedures, and creating user-defined functions (UDFs).
Strong skills in writing complex SQL queries, including joins, sub-selects, and with statements, are necessary.
Proven experience in managing high-volume, high-velocity application/data environments is required.
