Remote Data Research Intern (Remote)

Description:

• RainFocus is seeking a Data Research Intern to assist the operations team with market research.
• The intern will work 20-30 hours per week with flexible hours around school schedules.
• Daily tasks include researching events across the US, quantifying event metrics, providing insights from data, managing a database of findings, and handling other ad-hoc requests.
• Responsibilities include managing a predefined list of events, collecting and organizing data, becoming familiar with the events industry, uncovering unique information paths, and building formulas in Excel or Google Sheets for data insights.
• The intern will learn to navigate Salesforce.com CRM, leverage Discover.Org and LinkedIn for capturing key event contacts, and create basic Salesforce.com reports to track data progress.
• Additional tasks include documenting questions and answers for data issues, sharing tricks of the trade for finding event information, and assisting the operations team with market data analysis.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be currently working toward a bachelor's degree.
• A basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets is required, along with the ability to learn quickly in new systems.
• Advanced experience using Google’s search engine and deep navigation of web pages is necessary.
• An understanding of basic data management best practices is essential.
• Candidates should have awareness of project management skills and a commitment to timelines.
• Personal characteristics sought include reliability, persistence, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, self-motivation, coachability, and collaboration.
