Remote Data Scientist

Description:

• WarrCloud is a well-funded, high-growth startup that has developed a machine-learning-enabled SaaS platform to automate warranty claims processing for automotive dealerships and OEMs.
• The company is looking for a Data Scientist to join a small, passionate, and collaborative product team.
• The role involves working in an agile environment to build an extraordinary application while navigating an evolving business landscape.
• The Data Scientist will analyze large datasets, build and deploy machine learning models, and translate complex findings into actionable business recommendations.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams in Product, Engineering and IT, Service Delivery, and Customer Success is essential.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, preferably in an Automotive on Prem or SaaS environment.
• Strong programming skills in Python or R are necessary.
• Familiarity with SQL for data extraction and manipulation is required.
• Proficiency in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn is essential.
• Demonstrated experience with model deployment and integration into production systems, focusing on real-time predictions, is needed.
• Candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment and be highly effective communicators capable of liaising across different teams.
• A passion for automating processes and expertise in data visualization are required.
• Experience working in an Agile environment is necessary.
• Nice to have: Experience in the automotive warranty or fixed operations space, familiarity with Confluence and Jira, experience with AWS data and ML infrastructure, and a graduate degree in Data Science.
