Description:

Welo Data is seeking a Data Scientist to join their Quality team, working remotely from Mexico, Argentina, or Peru.
The Data Scientist will play a critical role in harnessing data to drive quality performance across the organization.
Responsibilities include collaborating with Analytics Specialists, developing predictive models, conducting A/B testing, engaging in text analytics, and ensuring data quality and accessibility.
The role requires visualizing complex data insights for non-technical stakeholders and staying updated with the latest data science techniques.
The Data Scientist will also oversee data labeling processes and implement quality control measures for machine learning projects.

Requirements:

A Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent working experience is required.
Candidates must have 4+ years of proven experience in predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis in a business context.
Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and its applications in a business context is preferred.
Expert proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python and/or R is necessary.
Strong familiarity with data visualization tools, especially Microsoft PowerBI, is required.
Candidates must possess strong English-language communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex data insights clearly are essential.
Adaptability and willingness to manage multiple ongoing projects and priorities are important.
Familiarity with data labeling processes and quality control measures for training datasets is required.
