Description:

  • At CoLab, we help engineering teams bring life-changing products to the world years sooner through our product, CoLab, which is the world’s first Design Engagement System (DES).
  • Our customers include major engineering organizations such as Ford, Johnson Controls, Komatsu, and Polaris across various industries.
  • As a Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in the development and deployment of machine learning models, collaborating closely with engineering, platform engineering, and product teams.
  • You will design, implement, and deploy machine learning models to drive insights and automate business processes.
  • Your responsibilities will include feature engineering, leading hypothesis-driven analysis and A/B testing, and communicating findings through compelling visualizations.
  • You will oversee end-to-end model deployment using MLOps best practices and work with Platform Engineering to maintain automated data pipelines.
  • Additionally, you will set up monitoring for model drift and performance, optimize cloud infrastructure, and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • The role emphasizes continuous improvement and collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate ML solutions into the product.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field is required.
  • You must have 3+ years of experience in data science and machine learning, preferably in a SaaS environment.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in libraries such as Pandas, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch are essential.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data querying and transformation is required.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and MLOps tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Docker) is necessary.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing is expected.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment are crucial.
  • Strong communication skills are needed to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A willingness to improve processes and build better solutions is important.
  • Experience with SaaS and large-scale distributed systems, as well as a track record of building and maintaining scalable products, would be considered assets.
