Description:

• The position involves developing and operationalizing analytics concepts in collaboration with Engineering, Product, and Performance Science teams.
• The candidate will contribute to making data science impactful in elite sports and the defense sector, refining analytics to improve performance.
• Responsibilities include expanding the Intelligence Platform, creating models for injury risk and player development, building data pipelines, and developing performance dashboards.
• The role also requires presenting insights to internal teams and clients clearly and effectively.

Requirements:

• The candidate should have 3–5 years of industry experience in a data science role, preferably in R&D within a software company.
• Strong programming skills in Python are essential, with a focus on clean and organized code.
• Experience in building models and developing data and analytical pipelines to address real-world problems is required.
• A solid understanding of machine learning and statistical theory, along with practical experience in applying various techniques, is necessary.
• Familiarity with deploying models in production environments is expected.
• Strong communication skills are needed to explain complex data science concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• The ability to collaborate with internal and external teams to develop tailored solutions is important.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Sports Science, or a related field is required.
• A genuine interest in human performance, particularly in elite athletics or defense, is a bonus.
• The candidate must be a US National, able to pass a background check, and potentially gain security clearance.
