TextNow is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join their Data Science Team.
The company aims to democratize phone service and transform the telecom landscape by building a platform that powers millions of calls and messages daily.
The Data Science Team is responsible for designing and developing scalable, high-performance backend systems that serve customers.
As a senior contributor, the Data Scientist will collaborate with various teams including Marketing, Growth, Product, and Engineering to provide insights and solutions that impact major company objectives.
Responsibilities include collaborating with internal stakeholders to frame business questions, designing and implementing machine learning solutions, quantifying business impact, and communicating results clearly.
The role requires managing the full development of analytic and predictive models with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

A BA/BS in a quantitative discipline such as Math, Statistics, Computer Science, or Economics is required; an MS is preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of industry experience, preferably in fast-growing tech companies, is required.
Deep experience in machine learning and advanced analytics techniques is necessary, including regression, classification, clustering, optimization, causal modeling, natural language processing, and deep neural networks.
Excellent communication skills to connect with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are essential.
A self-starter attitude with a passion for driving impact and execution is required.
Proficiency in Python and SQL programming is necessary, with the ability to write high-quality code; prior experience with Snowflake is a plus.
Familiarity with tools such as Airflow, MLOps, CD/CI, Kubernetes, and Docker is a plus.
