Description:

Render is seeking a Data Scientist to join their team remotely in the United States or San Francisco, CA.
The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Marketing to guide product strategy using data insights.
Responsibilities include analyzing large datasets to solve business problems, exploring product improvement opportunities, developing success metrics, and providing insights about user behavior on the platform.
The Data Scientist will also contribute to enhancing the reliability and accuracy of data infrastructure and processes.
The position is critical for shaping product strategy and guiding investment decisions through actionable insights.

Requirements:

Candidates must have at least five years of experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches.
A minimum of four years of experience leading data-driven projects from definition to execution is required, including metric definition, experiment design, and communication of insights to stakeholders.
A track record of high ownership and initiative is essential.
Experience in cross-functional collaboration and effective communication with team members of varying skill sets is necessary.
Proficiency in SQL and some experience in Python is required.
Familiarity with data sources such as Segment, HubSpot, and back-end data in Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL is preferred, along with experience in ETL to BigQuery, data transformation with Dbt, and analysis/reporting with Metabase and MixPanel.

The starting salary for this role ranges from $170,000 to $200,000 USD, depending on experience and market demands.
The position is eligible for equity with early exercise options and extended exercise windows.
