Description:
Edpuzzle is seeking a Data Scientist to join their Data & Analytics team in Barcelona.
The role involves adapting research techniques to specific client needs and research problems.
Responsibilities include advising on technical and theoretical possibilities within the data science domain and clearly reporting and presenting research findings.
Data Scientists at Edpuzzle manage the full data journey, from collection to insight, and work on transversal projects that balance machine learning applications with data exploration, analysis, and visualization.
The position offers the opportunity to lead Data Science projects and coordinate initiatives, contributing to the future of Data Science efforts at Edpuzzle.
Daily tasks include extracting and querying data from data lakes and warehouses, analyzing large datasets to discover trends, designing and managing data models, developing data visualizations, proposing solutions to business challenges, and collaborating with various teams.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 3 years of proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role.
A graduate degree in Data Science or a quantitative field is preferred; a BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is acceptable.
Strong analytical skills are required to work with large datasets and identify patterns.
Candidates should be able to organize, store, protect, and present data accurately.
Strong math skills, including statistics and algebra, and an understanding of machine learning algorithms are necessary.
Proficiency in Python and its libraries, as well as knowledge of SQL databases, is required.
Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and organizing processes for efficiency is essential.
Fluency in Spanish and English is necessary for day-to-day operations.
Candidates must be based in Spain and possess a valid work permit.
