Remote Data Scientist-AI/ML Engineer

Description:

• Best Egg is looking for a Data Scientist who can identify business problems, provide actionable recommendations, develop AI/ML stack solutions, drive test/learn plans, present findings, and deploy solutions into production.
• The ideal candidate should have a high sense of urgency, creativity, strong communication skills, and a background in programming and AI/ML.
• Responsibilities include partnering with business units to optimize tasks like underwriting, pricing, fraud detection, and more using AI/ML solutions.
• Building end-to-end AI/ML pipelines, staying updated with AI/ML advancements, and using deep data sets to derive insights are key tasks.
• The position may involve assessing 3rd party vendors and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and valuable insights.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science/Engineering, or related field; Masters or PhD preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering.
• Proficiency in building and deploying AI/ML stacks in cloud environments, Python/R, SQL, and dev tools like Git and JIRA.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, excellent English communication skills, and translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Nice to have: experience in the financial industry.
