Description:

  • The Data Scientist, Analytics position is a remote role based in Canada.
  • The role involves developing automated ETL and data workflows.
  • You will spearhead product monitoring and quality assurance by designing and owning dashboards and KPIs.
  • The position requires translating product management, engineering, and business constraints into tractable data science questions.
  • You will explore data sets and develop new InsureTech models using data science techniques such as machine learning and deep learning.
  • The work environment is fast-paced and business-driven, requiring rapid iteration on all tasks.

Requirements:

  • A BA/BS degree in Math, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Economics is required.
  • An MS or Ph.D. is considered a bonus.
  • You should have 2-3 years of experience in designing and building ETL workflows and monitoring dashboards.
  • Strong organizational and management skills with past experience in implementing best practices and processes are necessary.
  • Proficiency in SQL is required.
  • You must be proficient in a programming language such as Python or R.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform or AWS is essential.
  • You must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
