Description:

  • As a Pythian Data Scientist, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling to deliver insights and build predictive models.
  • You will work on both internal IP development and client projects, applying a variety of techniques to solve complex business problems.
  • Your responsibilities include collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets from various sources to extract meaningful insights.
  • You will develop and implement machine learning models, including both supervised and unsupervised techniques.
  • Fine-tuning and adapting pre-trained models, such as Large Language Models (LLMs), for specific use cases and client projects will be part of your role.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and domain experts, will be essential to develop data-driven solutions.
  • You will build predictive models and algorithms that address complex business challenges.
  • Communicating results and insights effectively to stakeholders through data visualizations and reports is a key responsibility.
  • Staying current with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and AI, with a focus on the practical application of pre-trained models and cutting-edge technologies, is expected.
  • You will also develop and maintain internal IP around advanced analytics, model development, and AI-driven tools.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field is required; a Ph.D. is a plus.
  • You must have 3+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R and experience with data science libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) is necessary.
  • Hands-on experience with pre-trained models such as Large Language Models (LLMs) or other deep learning frameworks is required.
  • A strong understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization techniques is essential.
  • Experience working with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is needed.
  • Excellent communication skills are required, with the ability to translate complex data findings into actionable business insights.
  • Experience with client-facing projects or in a consulting environment is a plus.
