Description:

The Data Scientist/Engineer will work at the intersection of data science and software engineering, collaborating with customers and their data.
The role involves leveraging a strong statistical foundation to derive insights from large datasets and building ML-based scoring models.
The candidate will participate in company-building initiatives and help shape the future of Common Room’s data capabilities.
Responsibilities include partnering with customers to solve data challenges, converting data insights into product improvements, and managing large projects primarily in the front-end domain.
The current tech stack includes TypeScript, Node.js, TypeGraphQL, Kafka, Apollo/Express, Postgres, ClickHouse, React, AWS, Snowflake, and Python.
Requirements:
The candidate must have 2+ years of experience building data or ML-based models using industry best practices.
Exceptional SQL skills and experience with large-scale data transformation are required.
The ability to integrate data science into product development processes is essential.
Candidates should be able to partner with customers to optimize workflows and validate methodologies for scalable solutions.
The role requires the ability to dive into unfamiliar data and make high-quality technical and non-technical tradeoffs.
Independence in work is important, along with the willingness to seek help when needed.
Candidates should demonstrate pride, ownership, and accountability for their work.
