Description:
Houzz is seeking a world-class Data Scientist to join their Industry Solutions data science team.
The team focuses on uncovering critical insights and delivering models to support intelligent business decisions.
As a Data Scientist, you will directly impact Houzz Revenue by uncovering insights.
Responsibilities include collaborating with leadership, product, data, and engineering teams to launch strategic data science initiatives.
You will define key metrics (KPIs) to guide business decision-making across various aspects of the site.
Efficient management of key business and product metrics is required.
You will design product experiments, interpret results, and conduct root cause analysis.
Working with data infrastructure and product engineering teams to define data collection needs is essential.
Recommendations will be provided to assist in quick product ideation and feature launch decisions.
You will develop and maintain data products for real-time business insights and production environments.
Building and maintaining dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for finance, product, and sales is part of the role.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's or Master's Degree with at least 2 years of experience in an analytical role within a high-growth tech company is required.
Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries using aggregate functions and various joins with Hadoop, Hive, and Presto is necessary.
Strong programming skills in Python or R are essential.
You must possess strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills to derive actionable insights from exploratory data analysis.
Proficiency in using Tableau for data visualization is required.
Advanced skills in experimental design, testing, and analysis are necessary.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
A passion for analytics and product development is expected.
You should be self-motivated, independent, and eager to learn.

The role offers an annual starting salary range of $120,000 - $140,000.
