Description:
GoGuardian is seeking a Data Scientist II to join their innovative team focused on solving challenging problems.
The role involves optimizing company performance through algorithms, experimentation, and interactive dashboards.
The Data Scientist will contribute to novel research studies and production-grade algorithms that benefit students and educators.
Responsibilities include collaborating across teams to implement data science and machine learning solutions, communicating findings to stakeholders, building and deploying machine learning models, and exploring novel data sets.
The position is part of the Data and AI Team, which emphasizes data-driven decision-making.
Requirements:
Candidates should have an advanced education (PhD or Master’s) in a quantitative field such as science, math, statistics, or engineering.
A minimum of 4-5 years of professional work experience or equivalent academic research experience is required.
Experience in applying data science solutions to achieve impactful results is essential.
Strong communication skills to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders are necessary.
Advanced proficiency in Python is required.
Candidates should be proven self-learners with the ability to adapt quickly.
Experience with traditional statistics and machine learning approaches is expected.
Familiarity with Deep Learning methods and libraries, such as transformers, PyTorch, and fast.ai, is preferred.
Experience with collaborative development tools like GitHub and cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is necessary.
Candidates should have experience in extracting data from various sources and formats.
Knowledge of best practices in coding and scientific projects is required.
Nice to have: Experience with Docker/containerized workflows, Natural Language Processing, and working within the Databricks platform.
