Description:

Pinterest is seeking a Data Scientist II to help uphold its mission of inspiring users and improving their lives.
The role involves developing best practices for instrumentation and experimentation and communicating these to Engineering, Product, and Design teams.
The candidate will apply scientific rigor and statistical methods to product creation, development, and improvement while understanding user behaviors.
Responsibilities include building and prototyping analysis pipelines to provide insights at scale and advocating for necessary changes in data structures and metrics.
The position requires collaboration with product managers, engineers, designers, and researchers to enhance user experiences on Pinterest.
The Data Scientist will influence the product roadmap and identify opportunities for product innovation through research and exploratory analysis of user behavior and trends.
Telecommuting is permitted.

Requirements:

A Master’s degree (or its foreign equivalent) in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a closely related quantitative discipline is required.
The candidate must have at least one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related field.
Special skills required include proficiency in Python, Sklearn, Pandas, Numpy, R, SQL, A/B Testing, Data Visualization, Regression Testing, and Exploratory Data Analysis.
Any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience is acceptable.
Telecommuting is permitted.

The salary for this position ranges from $178,689.00 to $232,988.00 per annum, along with standard company benefits.
The position is also eligible for equity.
