Remote Data Scientist II

Description:

• Pinterest is seeking a Data Scientist II to help uphold its mission of inspiring users and improving their lives.
• The role involves developing best practices for instrumentation and experimentation and communicating these to Engineering, Product, and Design teams.
• The candidate will apply scientific rigor and statistical methods to product creation, development, and improvement while understanding user behaviors.
• Responsibilities include building and prototyping analysis pipelines to provide insights at scale and advocating for necessary changes in data structures and metrics.
• The position requires collaboration with product managers, engineers, designers, and researchers to enhance user experiences on Pinterest.
• The Data Scientist will influence the product roadmap and identify opportunities for product innovation through research and exploratory analysis of user behavior and trends.
• Telecommuting is permitted.

Requirements:

• A Master’s degree (or its foreign equivalent) in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a closely related quantitative discipline is required.
• The candidate must have at least one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related field.
• Special skills required include proficiency in Python, Sklearn, Pandas, Numpy, R, SQL, A/B Testing, Data Visualization, Regression Testing, and Exploratory Data Analysis.
• Any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience is acceptable.
• Telecommuting is permitted.

Benefits:

• The salary for this position ranges from $178,689.00 to $232,988.00 per annum, along with standard company benefits.
