Description:

  • The Data Scientist II - Fraud Risk position at Dave involves partnering with various teams to research, develop, deploy, and enhance machine learning solutions to drive growth and enhance user experience.
  • Responsibilities include exploring datasets, collaborating with stakeholders to understand business problems, developing ML/AI solutions, optimizing ML models, deploying solutions into product features, monitoring model performance, and providing insights into ML solutions.
  • The role requires a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields, along with 3+ years of experience in modeling and machine learning.
  • Candidates should have expertise in Python/R, ML/DL algorithms, frameworks like TensorFlow/PyTorch, cloud platforms, fraud risk models/strategies, and effective communication skills.
  • Additional qualifications include experience in Financial Services/FinTech, graph DB, ML model deployment in production, and a passion for growth and continuous learning.

Requirements:

  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience in modeling and machine learning for solving business problems.
  • Proficiency in Python/R and developing ML models.
  • Experience with ML/DL algorithms, frameworks like TensorFlow/PyTorch, Spark, and cloud platforms.
  • Background in developing fraud risk models/strategies.
  • Strong communication skills to convey ideas clearly to stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and levels across organizations.
  • Self-starter with a passion for growth and continuous learning.
  • Experience in Financial Services or FinTech, graph DB, and ML model deployment in production.
