Description:

  • Mediavine is seeking a talented and driven Data Scientist to join their growing team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
  • This role involves applying data science skills to influence company-wide strategy and operations.
  • Responsibilities include developing and implementing machine learning models to improve targeting, personalization, revenue generation, and operational efficiencies.
  • The Data Scientist will analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Collaboration with executives, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders is essential to define data requirements and deliver strategic insights.
  • The role includes conducting algorithmic testing and experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of different strategies and approaches.
  • The Data Scientist will create data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership.
  • Providing data-driven recommendations for strategic planning, product development, and operational improvements is a key responsibility.
  • Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and AdTech is expected.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be based in the United States.
  • A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field is required.
  • Candidates should have 5+ years of professional experience.
  • A minimum of 4+ years of proven experience as a Data Scientist, focusing on strategic and operational impact, is necessary.
  • Strong proficiency in machine learning, modeling, algorithms, and knowledge extraction is required.
  • Proficiency in MLOps using Azure, Azure ML, ADF, Databricks, Google Cloud, or AWS is essential.
  • Experience with advanced data pipeline is necessary.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and database programming is required.
  • Candidates should have strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Domo, Tableau) and reporting platforms is required.
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) is necessary.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail, are required.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders, are essential.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic, remote environment while balancing multiple projects and deadlines is necessary.
  • Exposure to data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and best practices is preferred.
  • An understanding of the AdTech industry is preferred.
