Description:
Mediavine is seeking a talented and driven Data Scientist to join their growing team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
This role involves applying data science skills to influence company-wide strategy and operations.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing machine learning models to improve targeting, personalization, revenue generation, and operational efficiencies.
The Data Scientist will analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
Collaboration with executives, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders is essential to define data requirements and deliver strategic insights.
The role includes conducting algorithmic testing and experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of different strategies and approaches.
The Data Scientist will create data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership.
Providing data-driven recommendations for strategic planning, product development, and operational improvements is a key responsibility.
Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and AdTech is expected.
Requirements:
Applicants must be based in the United States.
A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field is required.
Candidates should have 5+ years of professional experience.
A minimum of 4+ years of proven experience as a Data Scientist, focusing on strategic and operational impact, is necessary.
Strong proficiency in machine learning, modeling, algorithms, and knowledge extraction is required.
Proficiency in MLOps using Azure, Azure ML, ADF, Databricks, Google Cloud, or AWS is essential.
Experience with advanced data pipeline is necessary.
Strong proficiency in SQL and database programming is required.
Candidates should have strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R.
Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Domo, Tableau) and reporting platforms is required.
Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) is necessary.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail, are required.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders, are essential.
The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic, remote environment while balancing multiple projects and deadlines is necessary.
Exposure to data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and best practices is preferred.
An understanding of the AdTech industry is preferred.
