The role involves joining the dynamic Content and Data team as a Senior Software Engineer / AI Specialist to design and implement a cost-efficient, robust skill-matching platform.
Responsibilities include conceiving and implementing the overall system architecture, developing a roadmap for cost efficiency and performance, building and maintaining a skill ontology, designing APIs or microservices for skill matching, optimizing the system for real-time matching, establishing monitoring pipelines, and collaborating with product managers and recruiters.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field is required.
Equivalent practical experience or demonstrated projects in AI, NLP, machine learning, or software engineering is also acceptable.
Candidates must have 5+ years of hands-on software engineering or data science experience, or a strong portfolio demonstrating equivalent skills.
Proficiency in Python and a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms are essential.
Experience with SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) databases is required.
Familiarity with ML/NLP/AI tools such as transformers (BERT, GPT, etc.) and word embeddings (Word2Vec, FastText) is necessary.
Experience in designing or maintaining hierarchical skill/knowledge representations is highly valued.
Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is required.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, particularly in problem-solving and statistical thinking, are essential.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are necessary, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
Curiosity and openness to continuous learning, especially in AI/ML advancements, are important.
Fluency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
