Remote Data Scientist - Telematics

• Tiger Analytics is seeking a fully remote experienced Telematics Data Scientist to join their advanced analytics consulting firm.
• The consultant will utilize expertise in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI to design and build advanced analytics engines and services.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to define technical problem statements, developing analytical models, and incorporating them into data products.
• The role involves driving current and future strategy by leveraging analytical skills to ensure business value and communicate results effectively.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or closely related field.
• 4 to 8 years of experience in Data Science.
• Proficiency in R, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Experience in vehicle telematics, logistics, pattern detection in sensor data, and geospatial mapping.
• Deep expertise with geospatial packages like geopandas and rasterio in Python.
• Familiarity with machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as H2O, TensorFlow, PySpark, PyTorch, MXNet, Caffe.
• Understanding of data harmonization, feature preparation, and working with 3rd party providers.
• Experience with distributed storage, database platforms, and cloud computing environments.
• Knowledge of telematics data utilization for BI and analytics purposes.
• Experience with weather and atmospheric data, as well as processing platforms like Flink, Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, AWS EMR, Arrow, or Storm.
• Familiarity with handling large volumes of data (terabytes, petabytes, exabytes).
• Proficiency in containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Background in spatial optimization algorithms is a plus.
