Description:

• Welocalize is seeking a Data Solutions Engineer to join their fastest-growing service line, Welo Data, which delivers AI data services globally.
• The role focuses on enabling the delivery of high-quality AI data services, helping clients optimize AI and machine learning applications.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with the Operations team to understand project goals, defining data specifications, and implementing quality evaluation protocols.
• The engineer will provide support for the development of AI enablement tools and NLP applications, ensuring compliance with internal project specifications.
• The position involves manipulating large data sets and proposing client-facing technical solutions aligned with AI needs.
• Example projects include collecting training data for multilingual conversational AI and data annotation for improving model accuracy.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 2+ years of engineering experience, preferably in a client-facing role.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics is required, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in data structures for effective AI model training and data management is essential.
• Hands-on experience in ML lifecycle applications, data management, and data wrangling is necessary.
• Skills in front-end development for managing web tools are a plus.
• A background in deploying and maintaining NLP models, along with a strong understanding of NLP concepts, is advantageous.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language, preferably Python, is required.
• Experience with programming languages, particularly C#, and working with REST APIs is necessary.
• Familiarity with Jupyter or common data processing libraries like Pandas is a plus.
• A passion for AI and ML technologies, with a history of exploring new concepts, is essential.
