Description:

• The Data Team Lead will oversee the development and validation of statistical models, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data across the organization.
• This role involves close collaboration with other team leads and departments to support data-driven decision-making and ensure consistency in data handling and reporting.
• The Data Team Lead will manage a team of data engineers and analysts, guiding them in collecting, organizing, and validating data for various business purposes.
• The position requires working closely with other department leads, including Financial Planning and Analytics, to ensure data is accurate and reliable across all models and reports.
• The Data Team Lead will act as the central point of contact for all data-related activities and ensure smooth data flow between teams.
• Responsibilities include leading the development and validation of statistical models for forecasting and risk analysis, overseeing the team’s creation of models related to credit forecasting, risk evaluation, and other key business metrics.
• The Data Team Lead will ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data used in all models and reports, working with the Data Engineer Analyst and Econometric Analyst to verify that data intake, validation, and security protocols are followed.
• The role includes leading and mentoring a team of Data Engineers and Econometrics Analysts, providing guidance on model creation, data management, and analytics.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 100% fluency in English, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, statistical modeling, and leadership roles is preferred.
• Strong experience in statistical models, quantitative analysis, and data validation is necessary.
• Proficiency with data management tools and software is required.
• Candidates must have experience working with large datasets and guiding data engineers to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects is essential.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams is required.
• Candidates must have their own laptop or desktop to use, as the company does not supply equipment.
