Description:
The Data Visualization Engineer will be responsible for designing and creating interactive data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, D3.js, or similar platforms.
They will work closely with data scientists and analysts to understand data sources, extract, clean, and manipulate data from various databases, and perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends and patterns.
Collaboration with business stakeholders to gather requirements, present findings to technical and non-technical audiences, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment with business goals.
Optimizing dashboards for performance, continuously updating and maintaining them, ensuring data security and compliance, and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data visualization.
Ensuring that visualizations adhere to data governance policies, conducting quality assurance checks, and maintaining data integrity and validity of visualizations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in data visualization, data analysis, or a similar role.
Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, D3.js, or equivalent platforms.
Strong SQL skills and experience with database management and query optimization.
Understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and working with large datasets.
Ability to tell a compelling story with data, including excellent attention to detail in visual design.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis and automation is a plus.
