Description:
FP Markets Group of Companies is seeking a Full-time Database Administrator to join their team in Azerbaijan, working in the UTC+6 timezone.
The role involves managing, maintaining, designing, implementing, and optimizing database solutions that support business applications and services.
The Database Administrator will focus on MS SQL Server and MySQL/PostgreSQL administration, developing efficient and scalable database systems.
This position is a work-from-home opportunity with the possibility of relocation to Cyprus after a 6-month probation period.
Responsibilities include installing and configuring database management systems, optimizing performance, ensuring data management and security, collaborating with team members, and documenting processes.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Proven experience as a Database Administrator with expertise in MS SQL Server and MySQL is essential.
Hands-on experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) and data migration services is necessary.
A strong understanding of database design principles and data modeling is expected.
Candidates should have experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes is required.
Experience in replication setup and server upgrades is necessary.
Familiarity with SSRS or similar reporting services is expected.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration/development, focusing on MS SQL Server and MySQL/PostgreSQL, is required.
Experience in managing and maintaining complex large database systems is essential.
