Description:

  • FP Markets Group of Companies is seeking a Full-time Database Administrator to join their team in Azerbaijan, working in the UTC+6 timezone.
  • The role involves managing, maintaining, designing, implementing, and optimizing database solutions that support business applications and services.
  • The Database Administrator will focus on MS SQL Server and MySQL/PostgreSQL administration, developing efficient and scalable database systems.
  • This position is a work-from-home opportunity with the possibility of relocation to Cyprus after a 6-month probation period.
  • Responsibilities include installing and configuring database management systems, optimizing performance, ensuring data management and security, collaborating with team members, and documenting processes.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator with expertise in MS SQL Server and MySQL is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) and data migration services is necessary.
  • A strong understanding of database design principles and data modeling is expected.
  • Candidates should have experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes is required.
  • Experience in replication setup and server upgrades is necessary.
  • Familiarity with SSRS or similar reporting services is expected.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration/development, focusing on MS SQL Server and MySQL/PostgreSQL, is required.
  • Experience in managing and maintaining complex large database systems is essential.
