Description:
As a Mid-Level Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for defining and maintaining the data architecture for the organization.
Your responsibilities will include data maintenance, integration, and load processes.
You will leverage your expertise in MSSQL databases on AWS to optimize performance, ensure security, and drive process improvements.
You will identify and select appropriate database technologies and associated software products.
You will develop, build, and maintain database solutions that align with organizational needs.
You will collaborate with development teams to create efficient SQL tuning statement procedures and optimize SQL queries to enhance overall database performance.
You will assist in database implementations, ensuring adherence to configuration, process, and procedure standards.
You will support the database security posture by escalating potential concerns and implementing risk mitigation plans to safeguard data.
You will draft and review status reports related to database activities and perform troubleshooting and implementation tasks as needed.
You will provide high-level technical assistance to development programmers and end-users and formulate recommendations to enhance database performance.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Requirements:
You must have proficiency in MSSQL database technology, along with additional knowledge in MySQL and PostgreSQL.
Experience with cloud-based database services, particularly Amazon RDS, is required, with Amazon Aurora being a plus.
You should have experience designing and testing database architecture standards or frameworks and the ability to optimize database structures for performance.
Exposure to automation tools and cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, etc.) is necessary.
Active participation in business resource groups and global communities is expected.
Proficiency in the English language is required.
Additional experience in the modernization of databases is desired.
