Description:
As a Database Administrator (DBA), you will ensure high availability, optimize scalability, and deliver exceptional performance for complex, large-scale systems.
You will collaborate with Infrastructure and Technology teams to manage, monitor, and enhance databases that power key operations.
Responsibilities include monitoring database availability, identifying potential issues, and proposing optimizations for scalability and performance.
You will architect and implement new technologies and strategies in collaboration with Infrastructure and Line of Business Technology teams.
Your role involves managing data backup, disaster recovery procedures, and restore processes.
You will install, upgrade, and configure new and existing servers, including patches and new versions.
Ensuring extremely high levels of availability for production and UAT systems is a key responsibility.
You will resolve system issues promptly and professionally while adhering to and enforcing company security and compliance policies.
Automating recurring tasks to streamline daily operations is part of your duties.
You will participate actively in on-call shift rotations with flexibility for evening and occasional weekend work.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements:
You must have 7–10 years of administration and development experience in MS SQL Server (2016/2017/2019).
A minimum of 5 years of experience supporting high-transactional, large-scale systems with very high levels of availability is required.
Expertise in writing ad-hoc T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers is essential.
You should have at least 4 years of experience utilizing PowerShell for task automation.
Proven experience with database schema and code release processes is necessary.
You must be skilled in evaluating and optimizing query performance.
Hands-on experience with SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups is required.
Familiarity with SQL Server replication (all types) and maintaining SSIS packages for ETL processes is needed.
Experience supporting Development, QA, and TechOps teams with data maintenance and query building is essential.
