Description:

  • As a Database Administrator (DBA), you will ensure high availability, optimize scalability, and deliver exceptional performance for complex, large-scale systems.
  • You will collaborate with Infrastructure and Technology teams to manage, monitor, and enhance databases that power key operations.
  • Responsibilities include monitoring database availability, identifying potential issues, and proposing optimizations for scalability and performance.
  • You will architect and implement new technologies and strategies in collaboration with Infrastructure and Line of Business Technology teams.
  • Your role involves managing data backup, disaster recovery procedures, and restore processes.
  • You will install, upgrade, and configure new and existing servers, including patches and new versions.
  • Ensuring extremely high levels of availability for production and UAT systems is a key responsibility.
  • You will resolve system issues promptly and professionally while adhering to and enforcing company security and compliance policies.
  • Automating recurring tasks to streamline daily operations is part of your duties.
  • You will participate actively in on-call shift rotations with flexibility for evening and occasional weekend work.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements:

  • You must have 7–10 years of administration and development experience in MS SQL Server (2016/2017/2019).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience supporting high-transactional, large-scale systems with very high levels of availability is required.
  • Expertise in writing ad-hoc T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers is essential.
  • You should have at least 4 years of experience utilizing PowerShell for task automation.
  • Proven experience with database schema and code release processes is necessary.
  • You must be skilled in evaluating and optimizing query performance.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups is required.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server replication (all types) and maintaining SSIS packages for ETL processes is needed.
  • Experience supporting Development, QA, and TechOps teams with data maintenance and query building is essential.
