Description:

  • The Database Administrator (DBA) at our client will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and safeguarding databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. They will ensure data is stored efficiently, accessed securely, and support high-performance applications. The role involves database management, backup and recovery, security implementation, performance tuning, query optimization, database design, monitoring, troubleshooting, and collaboration with development teams.

Requirements:

  • Database Management Expertise: Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including administration, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Performance Optimization: Expertise in query optimization, indexing, and diagnosing slow-running queries.
  • Security and Compliance: Solid understanding of database security best practices, encryption, and regulatory compliance.
  • Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages for automating database tasks, familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is a plus.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Strong collaboration skills to work with developers, DevOps, and IT teams.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Certifications like OCP, Azure Database Administrator, or AWS Certified Database Specialty are a plus.

Experience Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in database administration, including managing databases in production environments. Experience with high-availability architectures and cloud-based database services is desirable.
