Description:

The Database Administrator (DBA) at our client will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and safeguarding databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
They will ensure databases are optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability.
The DBA will implement backup and recovery strategies, test recovery procedures, and create failover systems.
They will focus on database security by implementing access controls, encryption, and compliance measures.
The role involves analyzing and optimizing database performance, monitoring query execution, and collaborating with developers on query optimization.
The DBA will design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure database architectures aligned with business needs.
They will set up and maintain database monitoring tools, troubleshoot issues proactively, and collaborate with development teams for smooth integration.

Requirements:

Database Management Expertise: Strong experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and knowledge of database administration, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
Performance Optimization: Expertise in query optimization, indexing, and diagnosing slow-running queries and bottlenecks.
Security and Compliance: Solid understanding of database security best practices, access controls, encryption, and regulatory compliance.
Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in Python or Bash for automating database tasks, familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is a plus.
