Description:

  • The Database Administrator III will be responsible for the integrity of the company’s databases, including upgrades, updates, patches, migrations, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
  • The DBA will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security compliance and performance optimizations.
  • Key responsibilities include managing, supporting, and maintaining database technology and infrastructure, designing best practices and architectural guidelines, training staff, database modeling, developing stored procedures, query tuning, and creating data and performance reports.
  • The role also involves implementing databases, storage structures, high-availability solutions, and disaster recovery solutions, as well as monitoring deadlocks and concurrency issues.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is required.
  • Candidates must have 3+ years of DBA experience implementing, managing, and administering enterprise databases.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of DBA experience engineering, administering, and managing Postgres databases is necessary.
  • Candidates should have 3+ years of experience managing relational databases on cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
  • Required experience includes administering Amazon RDS services such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MariaDB.
  • Experience supporting ETL processes and familiarity with AWS cloud monitoring and alerting technologies like Cloud Watch and Cloud Trail is essential.
  • A good understanding of storage architecture design techniques and demonstrated experience in scaling database architectures is required.
  • Candidates must have experience designing, testing, and executing Disaster Recovery Plans and Business Continuity Plans.
  • Experience with automation tools (Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform) and scripting languages is necessary.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and experience with AWS services (including AWS RDS, Elastic Compute, S3, IAM) is required.
