FP Markets Group of Companies is seeking a Full-time Database Administrator based in Kazakhstan (timezone UTC+6).
The role involves managing, maintaining, designing, implementing, and optimizing database solutions that support business applications and services.
The Database Administrator will focus on MS SQL Server and MySQL/PostgreSQL administration to develop efficient and scalable database systems.
This position is a work-from-home opportunity with the possibility of relocation to Cyprus after a 6-month probation period.
Responsibilities include installing and configuring database management systems, optimizing performance, ensuring data management and security, collaborating with team members, and documenting processes.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Proven experience as a Database Administrator with expertise in MS SQL Server and MySQL is essential.
Hands-on experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) and data migration services is necessary.
A strong understanding of database design principles and data modeling is expected.
Candidates should have experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
Experience in replication setup and server upgrades is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration/development, focusing on MS SQL Server and MySQL/PostgreSQL is mandatory.
Experience in managing and maintaining complex large database systems is essential.
